This carving is titled Snowflake elf. It was carved from a 7inch by 3 inch wide block of wood.
Once carved it was sealed in Watco Danish oil and then painted with acrylic paint followed by a coat of Deft satin finish. Click the picture for a larger view.

 Santa himself! This carving was done from a block of basswood. He is approx 6 3/4 inches by 3 inches. I just love this style of carving. He is finished with Watco danish oil then painted with acrylics,
Deft satin laquer and buffed with Howard feed N wax.

This wonderful little ornament is called Night Santa. He is approx 6 3/4 inches tall by 3 inches wide. Carved from a Basswood block. Sealed and painted with acrylics and finished with Howard feed N wax.. He is my first in a long series of painting scenes on the hats. This is a snowy night scene.

Here is my latest carving. He is about 6 1/2 inches tall and around 3 inches wide.
I love this old world style of carving Santa. He is painted in acrylic,then dipped in Watco danish oil.
